Job summary

Rose Glen Manor is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our culinary team and provide nutritious meals to residents. You will assist with meal service, maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness, and support food safety and inventory processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a food service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, portioning, and serving meals per dietary plans and requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Provide meal assistance and ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Follow all food safety protocols including storage and sanitation.
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies; notify Dietary Manager of shortages.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Fulfill special dietary requests and accommodate residents' preferences during meals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.
• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.
• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.
