Belmont Healthcare Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, serving, and delivery for residents. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training and the chance to grow in a compassionate nursing home setting in Belmont, California.

• Set up meal service, maintain food carts and deliver meal trays.
• Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines during prep and clean-up.
• Keep work areas clean and organized; sweep and mop floors, sanitize surfaces.
• Wash and clean cooking equipment and utensils; return items to storage.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to proper storage areas.
• Collect and dispose of garbage per facility regulations.
• Prepare food supplies for the next meal.

Position Summary:

Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
• Prep food supplies for the next meal
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
