Job summary

Palo Alto Post Acute is seeking an entry-level Dietary Aide to support all food functions, including preparation, processing, and delivery of meals to patients. Training is provided, and the team emphasizes safety and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting the Kitchen Supervisor, preparing meals per dietary needs, serving meals attractively, and maintaining sanitation and cleanliness.

• Help with meal preparation in accordance with patient dietary needs
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations
• Prep food supplies for the next meal
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
