Job summary

Hallmark Care Center in Mount Vernon, IA, is seeking a Dietary Aide for day shift, every-other weekend. You will assist residents with meals, ensuring items meet dietary needs and safety standards.

You will record temperatures, help maintain sanitation of kitchen and equipment, and contribute to a high standard of resident care. Applicants should have at least a 10th grade education; SNF foodservice experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 10th grade education.
• Skilled Nursing foodservice experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow dietary restrictions and menus.
• Must be reliable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meals and ensure correct items are served.
• Follow dietary plans and ensure items meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Record temperatures and maintain food safety standards.
• Keep kitchen and dietary equipment clean and sanitized.

As a Dietary Aide you will assist residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Hallmark Care Center by ensuring residents receive the appropriate items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and ensuring the kitchen and dietary equipment is clean and sanitized. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

• As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
