Job summary

Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, IA is seeking a friendly Diet Aide to support residents during meals. This part-time 4p-8p role focuses on accuracy, safety, and warmth in service.

You will help prepare and deliver meals, monitor temperatures, and maintain clean kitchen areas while upholding dietary guidelines and resident comfort. Training and growth opportunities are available within the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience preferred.
• Ability to follow dietary needs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meals and ensure correct items are served.
• Record temperatures and maintain food safety standards.
• Keep kitchen and dietary equipment clean and sanitized.

As a Dietary Aide you will assist residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Oakwood Care Center by ensuring residents receive the appropriate items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and ensuring the kitchen and dietary equipment is clean and sanitized. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
