Job summary

Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell, SD is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. You will support our enhanced dining program with attention to food safety and quality.

As a team-oriented individual, you will read production orders, set trays, assist with food prep, and ensure meals are served on time and at the right temperature. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Must have a Food Handlers' Permit.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production orders on tray cards.
• Place items such as utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Perform food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve meals on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature.
• Push carts to halls or kitchen.
• Wash dishes and clean work area.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness.

Job Summary

Firesteel Healthcare Center is currently looking for a Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. We are seeking a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work. Our enhanced dining program provides culinary excellence.

Essential Functions

• Read production orders on tray cards
• Places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.
• Pushes carts to halls or kitchen.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Required: Food Handlers' Permit
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety
• Interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Skill and ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
