Job summary

Buena Vista Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our dietary department in Colville, WA. This part-time/PRN position involves reading tray orders, assembling trays with utensils and condiments, and assisting with food preparation to ensure meals are served attractively and at the proper temperature.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to sanitation standards, and a strong attention to detail. We offer a private health care plan, DailyPay, life insurance, EAP, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must have a Food Handlers' Permit.
• Commitment to sanitation and safety standards.
• Ability to learn and operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production orders on tray cards.
• Place items (utensils, napkins, straws, condiments) on trays.
• Perform food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve food on trays at proper time, temperature, and presentation.
• Push carts to halls or kitchen.
• Wash dishes and keep work area clean and orderly.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area.

Buena Vista Healthcare is currently looking for a Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. We are seeking a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work. Our enhanced dining program provides culinary excellence.

Essential Functions:

• Read production orders on tray cards
• Places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.
• Pushes carts to halls or kitchen.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Required: Food Handlers' Permit
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety
• Interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Skill and ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
