Job summary

Wheatcrest Hills Healthcare Center is currently seeking a Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. We are a team-oriented facility that takes pride in our enhanced dining program and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities include reading production orders on tray cards, placing utensils and condiments on trays, assisting with food preparation, serving meals at the correct temperature, pushing carts, washing dishes, and keeping the work area clean.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers' Permit required.
• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety.
• Interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Read production orders on tray cards
• Places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.
• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.
• Pushes carts to halls or kitchen.
• Washes dishes and cleans work area
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Required:Food Handlers' Permit
