Job summary

Indian River Center in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Dietary Aide to support dining services in providing nutritious meals to residents. You will assist in serving meals, maintain clean dining areas, and help with meal carts and tray delivery, while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and it's full-time with shifts 5a-1p and 12p-8p. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience preferred, but training is available.
• Strong communication and a team-oriented attitude.
• Basic knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents, patients, and guests.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas following sanitation and safety standards.
• Deliver and retrieve meal carts, trays, plates, and utensils in a respectful and timely manner.
• Support meal preparation, plating, and kitchen organization as needed.
• Report supply needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training related to dietary procedures and resident needs.
• Follow all food handling, infection control, and safety guidelines.
