Job summary

North Port Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support our dining services team in providing nutritious, high‑quality meals to residents.

This role ensures meals are delivered in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while supporting resident comfort and well‑being.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous food service experience preferred, but training is available.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents, patients, and guests.
  • Maintain clean and organized kitchen and dining areas following sanitation and safety standards.
  • Deliver and retrieve meal carts, trays, plates, and utensils in a respectful and timely manner.
  • Support meal preparation, plating, and kitchen organization as needed.
  • Report supply needs to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to dietary procedures and resident needs.
  • Follow all food handling, infection control, and safety guidelines.
