Job summary

Island Lake Center is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide (weekends only) to support our dining services team. You will assist in serving meals, help with plating, and ensure safe, clean dining areas for residents and guests.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and a team-oriented attitude. Training is provided, and there is potential for growth within our mission-driven, resident-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service preferred; training available.
• Strong communication and team-oriented attitude.
• Basic knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals and beverages to residents, patients, and guests.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen and dining areas following sanitation and safety standards.
• Deliver and retrieve meal carts, trays, plates, and utensils in a respectful and timely manner.
• Support meal preparation, plating, and kitchen organization as needed.
• Report supply needs to the appropriate supervisor.
• Participate in ongoing training related to dietary procedures and resident needs.
• Follow all food handling, infection control, and safety guidelines.
