Job summary

Goldwater Care Marseilles is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Aide to assist in all food functions under established policies. You will review menus, prepare and serve meals, and ensure sanitary standards in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, delivering snacks and meals, maintaining clean kitchen areas, and supporting residents with timely meal service. Previous dietary experience is preferred; training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a healthcare facility preferred.

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders. Prepare & serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods as needed. Ensure food is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures ensuring utensils are available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, deliver food carts and trays, serve food and drinks, sweep and mop kitchen areas as instructed by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders. Prepare & serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served. Also ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, etc., as instructed. Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas. Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed. Sweeping & mopping floors in the kitchen/dish room as instructed by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• One (1) year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or other institution is preferred but is not required.
