Job summary

Goldwater Care in Clinton, IL is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Aide to support meal preparation and service for residents, following planned menus and dietary orders.

Responsibilities include serving meals, delivering trays, and assisting with snacks; also performing dishwashing and keeping the kitchen clean and sanitary in line with policies. This is a full-time role with benefits and opportunities to work closely with dietary and nursing teams.

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or other institution is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders.
• Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas and serve meals in the dining room as instructed.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures and maintain sanitary kitchen/dining areas.

The Food and Nutrition Services Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders. Prepare & serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served. Also ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, etc., as instructed. Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas. Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed. Sweeping & mopping floors in the kitchen/dish room as instructed by supervisor.
