Job summary

Goldwater Care in Illinois is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Aide to support food functions while adhering to established policies. This role includes duties such as reviewing, preparing, and serving meals, ensuring sanitary protocols are followed, and managing dish cleaning.

The ideal candidate has dietary experience in healthcare settings, although this is preferred, not required. The position offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401k plan after six months of service.

Qualifications

• One (1) year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or other institution is preferred but is not required.

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils are readily available for the next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks and food carts to designated areas.

Job description

The Food and Nutrition Services Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders. Prepare & serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served. Also ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, etc., as instructed. Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas. Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed. Sweeping & mopping floors in the kitchen/dish room as instructed by supervisor.
