The responsibilities of the Dietary Aide include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction and supervision of the Food Service Director, the Dietary Aide is responsible for performing tasks to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of nutritious, attractive meals and supplements to all residents.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Attend all required meetings and in-service trainings.
• Willingness to serve meals and wash dishes as needed.
• Report issues and needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation with other staff.
• Present a professional image to residents through dress, behavior, and speech.
• Ensure all resident rights are protected.

Experience and Skills:

• Prior experience in food service is preferred.
• Prior experience in a long‑term care setting is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business purposes.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization, and safety.
