Job summary

The Reserve at Katy, part of CIMA Senior Living, is hiring a Dietary Aide to support residents with warm, home-like dining.

You will take meal orders, serve meals, assist with special diets, help with basic food preparation, and maintain sanitary dining areas. This is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School education/GED or previous work experience.
• Experience in working in food service (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient meal service to residents in a warm, home-like dining environment.
• Take meal orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure proper portion control.
• Assist residents with special dietary needs and foster a welcoming dining atmosphere.
• Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, plating, and meal assembly.
• Follow safe food handling practices and maintain hygiene and cross-contamination controls.
• Operate the dishwasher and clean, store, and inventory dishware and supplies.
• Maintain clean dining and kitchen areas and manage waste/disposal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide friendly, efficient meal service to residents in a warm, home-like dining environment


• Duties include taking meal orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring proper portion control


• Assist residents with special dietary needs, foster positive interactions, and support a welcoming atmosphere that enhances residents' overall dining experience


• Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, plating, and meal assembly according to the daily menu


• Follow all safe food handling practices, including proper hygiene, temperature control, and prevention of cross-contamination


• Operate the dishwasher and properly clean, store, and inventory dishware and kitchen supplies


• Maintain clean, sanitized dining and kitchen areas, including trash disposal and recycling
