Job summary

Fair Oaks Health and Rehab in Fairfax, VA is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our compassionate team. Pay is $15.00–$16.00 per hour based on experience.

You will assist with preparing and serving meals, follow dietary requirements, and keep dining and kitchen areas clean while working closely with the dietary team. We offer PTO, daily pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary, food service, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and dietary requirements.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to interact professionally and compassionately with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving meals to residents
• Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals
• Deliver meals and trays to residents as needed
• Assist with serving meals according to resident diets and preferences
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Keep the kitchen, dining areas, and workspaces clean and organized
• Assist with stocking food and supplies
• Work closely with the Dietary Manager, Cook, and dietary team
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents
• Follow all facility policies and food service guidelines
