Edmonds Post Acute is hiring a Diet Aide for the 8 PM shift in Edmonds, WA. This is a PART TIME role requiring 15 hours per week over three days: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The position pays $19.00 per hour.

Duties include dinner prep, tray line service, and extensive closing duties with cleaning tasks throughout the shift. Responsibilities include assisting with food prep, serving residents, maintaining kitchen and dining area cleanliness, and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or food industry is desirable but not required.
• Experience in dietary departments or with dietary aides is a plus.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.

EDMONDS POST ACUTE IS HIRING!

Diet Aide #8 PM Shift

This is a PART TIME position. 3 days per week.

15 hours per week.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

$19.00 per hour

You will come in and help prep dinner snacks, and desserts if needed, and dinner set up. You will help the cook serve on tray line service. After tray line you will help clean up, sweep, mop, wash mats, follow your daily deep cleaning schedule and general closing. The other evening aides leave at 8:30PM you will finish dishes, take out trash, finish closing. There is a lot of cleaning in this position since the other evening aides are doing dishes. Please be willing to help cover other evenings if it’s needed

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
• Serve meals to residents or patients with friendly, attentive customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, dining rooms, and food service equipment
• Support food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and safety compliance
• Follow all food safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices and cross-contamination prevention
• Help with general kitchen duties such as cleaning utensils, dishes, and food prep surfaces as needed

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable but not required.
• Experience working in dietary departments or with dietary aides is a plus
• Strong time management skills to efficiently support meal schedules and cleanliness routines
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward residents and co-workers
