Job summary

Edenbrook on Second Ave is seeking a dedicated and reliable Dietary Aide to join our team. The role involves assisting with meal preparation and service, maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring health and safety standards are met. This position offers flexible per diem shifts.

Schedule: Part-time with a 10-day cycle, every other weekend, 4:00pm-8:00pm. Join a compassionate team serving residents in a hospital/home-like setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Service: Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to residents in the dining room or their individual rooms.
• Cleanliness & Sanitation: Ensure all food preparation areas are kept clean and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
• Dining Area Maintenance: Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining areas after meals.
• Stocking & Inventory: Receive and organize food deliveries from vendors, ensuring proper storage in the pantry, refrigerator, or freezer.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including safe food handling and sanitation practices during food preparation and storage.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the dietary supervisor or facility management.

The Dietary Aide will assist in providing nutritional services to residents by preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. This position offers flexible per diem shifts.

Position: Part time Dietary Aide

• Ability to lift and carry food items and supplies up to 25 lbs.
