Job summary

Edgewood Center Rehab and Health in Portsmouth, NH seeks a friendly Culinary Aide to join our team. Part-time or full-time positions available every other weekend, with on-site dining responsibilities and patient-focused service.

You will assist on meal trays, handle food preparation and sanitation, and support a clean, safe kitchen and dining area consistent with our quality standards and schedules.

Qualifications

• All employees must be vaccinated and wear a mask while on duty.
• Candidates must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• The Culinary Aide sets up meal trays for production on tray line and serves meals in the Main Dining Room.
• Delivery and breakdown of food trucks, cleaning and sanitation of dishes, pots and equipment and removal of garbage.
• Assists on tray line and food preparation as necessary.
• Stores food and supplies with proper labels for current and future use.
• Cleans and maintains assigned equipment and work areas, ensuring sanitary conditions.
• Performs routine housekeeping tasks such as dishwashing, garbage disposal and sweeping or mopping.
• Follows procedures pertaining to the handling of all foods and performs duties safely.

Positions Summary:

The Culinary Aide sets up meal trays for production on tray line and serves meals in the Main Dining Room. They are also responsible for the delivery and breakdown of food trucks, cleaning and sanitation of dishes, pots and equipment and removal of garbage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists on tray line and food preparation as necessary.

Stores food and supplies with proper labels for current and future use.

Cleans and maintains assigned equipment and work areas, including walls and ceilings, ensuring sanitary conditions.

Performs routine housekeeping tasks such as dishwashing, garbage disposal and sweeping or mopping.

Follows procedures outlined in Dietary Management Systems pertaining to the handling of all foods.

Performs all tasks and duties in an essential and safe way.

Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and facility needs.

Represents the Edgewood Center in a manner that conveys professionalism, confidentiality, courtesy, fairness, personal integrity, and respect for the fundamental rights, dignity, personal comfort and privacy of others.
