Job summary

Bayshore Residence and Rehabilitation Center in Duluth, MN is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our dining team. You will assist with meal prep, portioning, delivery, and resident service, while following dietary requirements and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements including standing, walking, bending, lifting.
• Willing to comply with health, safety, sanitation and facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal and snack preparation according to established menus and dietary requirements
• Prepare and portion food for residents, ensuring meals are served accurately and attractively
• Deliver and serve meals and beverages to residents
• Assist residents with meal service when needed
• Follow resident-specific diets, allergies, food preferences, and special meal requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and work surfaces
• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment
• Stock and organize food and dietary supplies
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and infection-control procedures
• Complete assigned cleaning duties and maintain a safe work environment
• Work cooperatively with cooks, dietary staff, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, patience, and kindness
• Perform other duties as assigned
