Tenet Healthcare Corporation's DMC Harper University Hospital in Detroit seeks a Dietary Aide. Under general supervision, you will assist with preparation, service, and transport of patient, staff, and guest meals, manage inventory and records, stock supplies, and ensure clean, sanitary work areas.

You may review daily patient menus, help with meal setup and delivery, handle cash operations, and support nutrition services in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Job Summary

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs duties related to the preparation, service, and transport of patient, staff, and guest meals. These may include but are not limited to taking inventory and maintaining records, stocking food and supplies, food preparation, setup and service, and transport of food and supplies; cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas between use; maintaining accurate cash operations. May prepare, deliver/collect, and review daily patient menus to ensure selections are in accordance with prescribed diet. May transport food and supplies within or between hospitals. May prepare and deliver patient formulas.

Qualifications

• 1. High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 2. Additional experience/training required dependent upon discipline.
