Job summary

Bethany Health Care Center is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support meal service for residents. The role includes setting up dining areas, serving meals, recording temperatures and meal counts, and maintaining sanitized kitchen and dining spaces.

Flexibility for 24-hour shifts from 3:30pm-7:30pm or 6:30am-2:30pm with alternate weekends. Weekend differential of $1.00 per hour applies. Training provided for the right candidate who enjoys working with the elderly.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous kitchen experience a plus.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Reliable team-player.

Responsibilities

• Set up dining room coffee and sets up desserts and salades for lunch and dinner.
• Serves at mealtime, making sure residents receive what they order.
• Maintain accurate food temperature log and meal count for lunch and supper.
• Services breakdown area following each meal; covers, dates, and refrigerates any leftovers.
• Checks stations for adequate supplies and restocks as necessary.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment, warmer, refrigerator, ice machine, dish room, etc.
• Maintains work area and dining area in a clean and sanitized manner. Cleans dining room tables as necessary. Thoroughly cleans assigned area on a weekly basis.
• Follows sanitation and infection control guidelines.
