Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking Dietary Aides to join our team in a full-time role from 6:30am to 3:00pm. The Dietary Aide will assist in assembling and checking diet trays, label and date food, and deliver meals to nursing units, while helping keep the kitchen clean and organized.

Qualifications include prior dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required) and the ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, and staff.

• Must have dietary aide experience (LTC preferred but not required)
• Must be able to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, etc...
• Able to follow and understand procedures
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and checking diet trays prior to distribution to ensure all residents receive the proper meals to meet dietary needs
• Label and date food properly
• Deliver food carts to designated areas as well as collecting food trucks when meals are finished to return to the dish room
• Work in dish room, wash all dishes/utensils utilizing dish machine
• Prepare and deliver snacks to nursing units
• Ensure kitchen stays clean at all times, sweep/mop floors as instructed
• Carry out garbage
