Job summary

Polaris Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide for a full-time role. The schedule runs Tue-Sat 7A-3P or 11A-7P, with an hourly rate ranging from $16 to $17 DOE. Responsibilities include food preparation, event support, maintaining a safe work environment, and collaborating with kitchen staff and resident volunteers. Weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods assigned by the Cook or Food Service Director, using daily menus.
• Assist in preparing foods for special events.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.
• Store food properly for infection control.
• Participate in serving food.
• Clean tables during and after meals.
• Reset tables for the next meal.
• Prepare beverages before meals.
• Clean equipment, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer and sinks according to schedule.
• Sweep clean and mop kitchen after each meal.
• Stack, soak and run dish machine.
• Soak and clean pots and pans.
• Put away clean dishes, pots and pans.
• Work with resident volunteers in the dining room.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Management Team
