Job summary

Goldwater Care Clinton is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals according to planned menus and dietary orders. Responsibilities include dishwashing, delivering snacks, and maintaining sanitary kitchen areas as directed by the supervisor.

One year dietary experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance plus a 401k after six months of service.

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a healthcare facility or other institution is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders.
• Prepare & deliver snacks to designated areas and assist with delivering food carts and trays.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning duties; maintain sanitary conditions in kitchen and dining areas.

The Food and Nutrition Services Aide is responsible for providing assistance in all food functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders. Prepare & serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served. Also ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, etc., as instructed. Deliver food carts, trays to designated areas. Serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed. Sweeping & mopping floors in the kitchen/dish room as instructed by supervisor.
