Job summary

Paycom - ATS at Great Plains Care Center in Kingfisher, OK is seeking an Entry Level Dietary Aide. You will assist in preparing and serving meals, maintaining sanitation, and delivering nourishments as needed.

The role requires basic English literacy, physical ability to lift items, and reliable teamwork. Prior food service is preferred, but training is provided; you will work on a full-time schedule with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Functional literacy in English is required.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, food supplies, etc.
• Experience in food service is preferred.
• Experience using dishwashing equipment is helpful.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Vision must be adequate to read menus, etc.

Responsibilities

• Ensures sanitation and quality standards are met.
• Scrapes, stacks, loads, washes tableware and utensils.
• Sanitizes dishwashing counters and keeps area clean.
• Logs/records wash/rinse temperatures.
• Neatly arranges tray settings with proper tableware and condiments.
• Performs various food preparation tasks and assists in serving portions.
• Prepares and serves beverages per menu/recipe.
• Cleans beverage dispensers as instructed.
• Performs other cleaning tasks per schedule.
• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
• Must stand or walk for extended periods.
• May prepare and deliver nourishments/supplements identified with resident name and room number.
• Maintains dry storage areas by logging temperatures and rotating stock.
• Maintains tray cards and makes changes as directed.
• Delivers soiled linens to laundry.
• Identifies and corrects safety hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The overall purpose of the dietary aide position is to provide assistance in the delivery of dietary services. Incumbents may prepare and/or serve food items, set up tables and trays, wash tableware and cooking utensils, perform general cleaning tasks, and deliver soiled linen, etc., to the laundry.

• Prepares and serves beverages per menu/recipe.
• Cleans beverage dispensers according to manufacturer' s instructions.
• Performs other cleaning tasks according to established schedules.
• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting.
• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
• May prepare and/or deliver nourishments/supplements identified with resident name room number, date, and time.
• May maintain or assist in maintaining, dry storage areas by logging temperatures daily and handling the unpacking, dating, and rotating of food and non-food supplies.
