Job summary

Healthcare Services Group is looking for a Diet Technician to help plan and deliver meals that meet residents' dietary needs in long‑term care facilities. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian to ensure nutrition care aligns with state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering meals, collaborating with the dietary team, following food safety standards, and maintaining accurate dietary records.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nutrition/dietetics or Certified Dietary Manager required.
• 1-3 years of dietary experience in long-term care in a consultant or supervisory role required.
• In the process of obtaining Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration preferred.
• General knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
• Ability to follow meal schedules and read food tray cards accurately.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain records.
• Ability to interact positively with residents and staff.
• Must be able to lift/carry 10 lbs., push/pull 10 lbs., and work around food and cleaning products.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• Must live in the service area.

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian in providing nutrition care for residents per standards.
• Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering resident meals according to dietary needs and physician orders.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to assess and implement residents' nutritional plans.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and therapeutic diet guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of residents' dietary requirements and adjustments.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service and support.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• All other duties as assigned.
