Center For Discovery in Glenview, IL seeks a part-time Diet Tech to support the Registered Dietitian and implement dietary services in our residential program. You will plan menus, purchase groceries, maintain the kitchen, and assist with mealtime groups while following health and privacy standards.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and certifications to be obtained within specified timelines; on-site work in a treatment facility is required.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Education or experience in dietary or nutrition sciences preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire, training provided.
• CPR/AED/First Aid and Food Handling/Safety certifications within 30 days.
• Substance Use Division: minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: minimum 1 year recovery if in recovery.

Responsabilidades

• Consult with the Registered Dietitian to implement dietary services.
• Purchase all grocery items for facility, considering diet needs and safety.
• Prepare meals and snacks per dietary guidelines.
• Facilitate weekly dietary groups; support meal supervision as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and safe environment.
• Ensure compliance with health code policies, HIPAA and licensing.
• Provide transportation for patient-related needs if qualified and required.
• Conduct regular safety and facility checks; report issues.
