Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Diet Supervisor to manage the diet office and supervise staff to ensure patients receive appropriate diets on time. You will coordinate with nursing, diet education, production and maintain high service quality and sanitary standards.

The role requires HACCP familiarity, ServSafe certification, strong customer service, and good computer skills. Schedule includes 6:00am–2:30pm or 11:00am–7:30pm, 40 hours weekly, with alternating holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
• Must follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills to include multiplication, addition and calculator use
• Computer skills including light typing and touch screen usage
• Excellent customer service skills
• On the job training available
• Preferred: No previous experience necessary but is helpful

• Follows HACCP standards

• Follows all contract services policies and procedures
• Possesses excellent customer service / communication skills
• Possesses good computer skills
• Attends up to 75% of department / diet office meetings
• Has basic special diet knowledge through on-the-job training
• Ability to supervise staff and check work
• Assists in keeping Press Ganey scores within or greater than departmental targets / goals
• Distributes and monitors the flow of work for an assigned group of employees; provides training and assistance
