Job summary

Texas Health Resources invites applications for a Diet Office Representative in Dallas, TX. This PRN role supports Food and Nutrition Services at Texas Health Dallas, with early and late shifts, including rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with menus, handling calls, printing reports, and ensuring HACCP food safety standards. You will work on-site in a fast-paced environment, serving meals and maintaining a clean, organized area while following health and PPE

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req
• 1 Year in food service position or applicable customer service Req
• FHC - Food Handlers Certificate 30 Days Req

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills at point of service and in resolution of complaints/concerns/ questions.
• Utilizes basic diet therapy training to assist patients in selecting correct menu items as needed.
• Performs needed office tasks in an appropriate and timely manner. Prints reports, process requisitions and enter menus.
• Maintains food safety requirements according to HACCP and department standards in the performance of all duties.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area, ensuring compliance with health department and facility requirements.
• Serve patient meals, assist with set up and prepare snacks accurately and timely according to procedures.
• Returns to the patient room within a reasonable period of time to pick up dirty tray and to confirm satisfaction with the patient.
• Comply with hand hygiene, patient identification, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
