Job summary

Texas Health Dallas in Dallas, TX is seeking a Dietitian II to join our nutrition team. This full-time role provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to diverse patient populations and requires a strong foundation in clinical nutrition and care coordination.

Work hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating holidays and weekends. We offer mentorship, comprehensive training and leadership resources, plus growth opportunities within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or related area is required.
  • Minimum 4 years direct care experience as a Clinical Dietitian.
  • RD - Registered Dietitian on hire preferred.
  • LD - Licensed Dietitian 6 months preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations using the Nutrition Care Process.
  • Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by flexible scheduling and workload balancing.
  • Collaborates with peers to ensure essential shifts are covered and safe, effective care is delivered.
  • Directly contributes to quality and outcomes through ongoing evaluation and improvement.

Work hours:

Full-Time, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday with rotating holidays and weekends

What You Will Do
  • Utilizes each step of the Nutrition Care Process effectively and efficiently to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy to assigned patient populations.
  • Promotes teamwork and supports organizational goals by demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments. When indicated, willingly takes on work to even out case load or meet schedule deadlines. Effectively collaborates with peers so that essential shifts are covered.
  • Promotes safe and effective care through effective communication and workflow practices, including the use of THR specific and High Reliability Organization (HRO) communication and safety strategies.
  • Promotes Quality in Practice through systematic measurement of outcomes, regular performance evaluations, and continuous improvement.

Maintains competence through ongoing self-evaluation and study aimed at identifying and closing relevant professional knowledge and/or performance gaps.
