Job summary

Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Dietary Associate to support the diet office by printing and organizing patient menus, updating diet changes, and coordinating with clinical dietitians.

You will handle menu data entry, meal distribution, and ensuring accurate patient dietary preferences while maintaining confidentiality and a clean work environment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college and/or higher academic standing preferred.
• Collective bargaining unit: SEIU 1199-MSH

Responsibilities

• Review patient census information and liaise with CTS for meal setup.
• Obtain diet and room status changes; coordinate menu printing by unit.
• Print daily patient menus for units not using TDS/CBORD or PCD.
• Organize and deliver printed menus by nursing unit.
• Enter patient meal preferences using bedside menu entry system.
• Deliver trays to the patient bedside and return food cart.
• Maintain menu tallies and update new menus as discharges occur.
• Restock floor supplies and maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality per MSMC and provide courteous service.
