Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current Washington State Food Handlers Card.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Maintain professional demeanor including phone and diet office.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of therapeutic diets.
• Strong working knowledge of computers and computer programs.
• Basic understanding of office equipment and procedures.
• Provide a high level of customer service while assisting the patient.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver diet information to tray assembly, production, and delivery personnel.
• Update all diet information for patient rooms as received from nursing units.
• Assist the patient to make menu decisions that reflect a healthy well-balanced diet within the parameters of the patients’ dietary prescription.
