Job summary

Universal Health Services (Sierra Medical Center) in Reno, NV, seeks a Diet Aide to support patient nutrition services. The role involves interpreting diet orders, recording preferences, and assembling patient meals according to therapeutic dietary guidelines.

You will work under the Food & Nutrition Services Director or supervisor, ensuring timely delivery of meals and maintaining dietary accuracy. Prior food service and dietary experience are preferred, with ServSafe certification encouraged

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred within 6 months of hire.
• Dietary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains information from the Cerner diet report and CBORD such as diet orders, supplements, and allergies to provide patients with adequate nutrition.
• Obtains menu preferences and meal orders in CBORD software.
• Prepares all food items and patient meals based on therapeutic diet orders and approved recipes.
• Delivers patient meals to units and returns carts to kitchen dish room at designated times.

Education
