Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Language: Read technical procedures and follow recipes; respond to questions.
• Mathematics: Apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Certificates: Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routine quickly and setup meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Check chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwashing machine.
• Observe dishwasher water temperatures during cycles and operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors; take out trash and garbage.
• Store groceries safely and keep the kitchen sanitary.
• Support orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Collaborate with other departments and maintain cooperative work relationships.
