Job summary

Columbus Quarry LLC seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Diesel & Welding Technician for our quarry operation. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and mobile assets, implement preventive maintenance, manage G.E.T., and perform welding to extend equipment life.

You will work in a safety-conscious team environment, performing inspections, recordkeeping, and parts tracking to minimize downtime and support continuous production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Proven background in industrial welding and heavy equipment fabrication.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel trucks or mining equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance & Ground Engaging Tools (G.E.T.) management for wear parts.
• Welding, hardfacing, and repairs on heavy equipment components.
• Service and overhaul heavy earthmoving machinery to maintain plant reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
