Job summary

Columbus Quarry, LLC in Fortson, GA is seeking an experienced heavyequipment diesel mechanic to work on site at our plant located at 3001 Smith Road.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines and related systems on heavy equipment used in aggregate production, perform inspections, and ensure safety and documentation standards are met. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for overtime in a dynamic outdoor setting.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy machinery.
• Troubleshooting fuel, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
• Safety-conscious with attention to compliance.

Columbus Quarry, LLC in Fortson, GA is hiring an experienced heavyequipment diesel mechanic to work on site at our plant located at 3001Smith Road.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain diesel engines and related systemsin heavy duty equipment used in aggregate production which includesengine, hydraulics, electronics, and fuel systems.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues,replace faulty parts, and ensure engines operate efficiently andmeet safety standards.
• Service, grease, lube all mobile equipment
• Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed daily andmonthly regarding all mobile equipment
• Other duties as required

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on diesel or heavy constructionequipment is required
• Excellent troubleshooting skills. Troubleshooting of fuel systems,hydraulic and hydrostatic systems, circuit faults, etc.
• Inspect diesel and related equipment for safety and complianceissues.
• Attention to detail to accurately complete tasks, ensuring that noelements are overlooked
• Ability to work with others or own your own with little supervision
• Solid mechanical understanding of mobile equipment
• Able to work outside in all types of weather conditions
• Ability to work overtime as needed
