Job summary

TruckMax Fort Pierce is seeking a Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our busy service department. The ideal candidate has diesel engine knowledge, drives experience with trucks, and thrives in a fast-paced shop environment.

We offer up to $50 per hour based on experience, a full benefits package including health, dental and vision, paid holidays, and ongoing manufacturer training. CDL is preferred but not required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a Diesel Technician or Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, drivetrains, and truck systems
• Ability to diagnose issues using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident
• Pre-employment background checks including MVR and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix malfunctions and conduct regular maintenance to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition
• Communicate with parts departments to obtain necessary parts
• Record all work performed and recommended on repair orders
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are effective
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and team members
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs
• Keep vehicles and shop areas clean
• Manage dealership-owned tools and manuals
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in diesel technology

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a busy shop environment
• Reliable, team ‑ oriented, and committed to high ‑ quality workmanship
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
