CSM Kenworth in Columbus, OH is seeking both entry-level and experienced diesel truck mechanics to join our growing dealer group. Responsibilities include repair, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of Class 8 trucks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical degree or certificate preferred.
• Experienced technicians must have 3–5 years of diesel mechanic experience.
• Personal tool inventory required to perform duties.
• Ability to obtain a valid CDL.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy duty vehicles.
• Troubleshoots electrical, drive train, HVAC, brake, engine and suspension systems, identifying needed repairs and performing corrective action.
• Writes up repair orders with clear, detailed descriptions of causes and procedures used.
• Interacts with customers and shop Foreman with accurate repair information for Repair Orders.
• Conducts road tests to verify repairs and documents results.
