Job summary

iTA Truck Sales & Service LLC is seeking a skilled diesel technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul trucks, buses and engines in Harahan, LA. You will work with hand and power tools, read gauges, and perform routine maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Experience with fuel injection systems and troubleshooting is valued. A valid CDL with air brake endorsement and a team-focused mindset are preferred as you support the service department in a fast-paced workshop.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of medium/heavy duty truck mechanical and electrical systems.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Ability to read and write; computer literate preferred; valid class B CDL w/air brake; ability to lift heavy objects; team player with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, or overhaul trucks, buses, and diesel engines.
• Use hand tools and power tools to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Attach test instruments to equipment and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions with measurement tools.
• Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Inspect brakes and steering to ensure proper operation.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and lubrication.
• Specialize in repairing engine components like fuel injection systems.
• Disassemble and overhaul engines, pumps, transmissions, and differentials.
• Inspect dimensions and clearances to factory specs.
