Job summary

Republic Services in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks and equipment. Under supervision, you will service chassis components, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, and suspension and drive systems on our single fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles.

This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, competitive wages, and benefits. Required qualifications include 5–7 years of heavy-truck experience, multi-system diagnostic abilities, CDL B

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues with strong technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Inspect and repair heavy truck/automotive systems (Suspensions, Steering, Engine, Transmissions, Brakes, Electrical, Hydraulics, Drive Train, Diesel Emissions).
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.
• LNG and/or CNG experience is a plus but not required.
• CDL Class B or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems to perform complex repairs on-site and on the road.
• Repair and maintain chassis components and refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic and electrical systems; Air and hydraulic braking systems.
• Diagnose engine, fuel, exhaust, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC and aftertreatment systems.
• Use scan tools to diagnose electrical concerns and perform line maintenance, welding and fabrication.
