Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic for our railyard maintenance team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems on a fleet of semi-trucks, trailers, and hostler vehicles.

You will perform regular maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and ensure safety standards are met while working across all shifts and weekends. High attention to detail and ability to work from schematics are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic with semi-trucks/trailers/hostler vehicles.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and mechanical repairs (diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical).
• Ability to read and follow schematics and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Familiarity with maintenance scheduling systems and accurate service records.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines (Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit).
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and hostler trucks.
• Conduct full vehicle assessments and repairs on scheduled and unscheduled calls.
• Maintain detailed service records of work, parts, and schedules.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies.
• Communicate findings to maintenance supervisor to prioritize work.
