Job summary

ConGlobal is hiring a highly skilled Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team at the railyard. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel, hydraulic, electrical systems on semi-trucks, trailers, and hostler vehicles to keep equipment in top condition.

The role requires 1–3 years of diesel experience, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to read schematics. Open availability, lifting 50 lbs, and valid driver’s license are required; pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic on semi-trucks/trailers/hostler vehicles.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repairs across diesel, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Familiarity with maintenance scheduling systems and keeping accurate service records.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills; willingness to work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines (Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit) to maintain optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics; ensure wiring/components function correctly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and hostler trucks to minimize downtime.
• Conduct vehicle assessments and timely repairs on scheduled and unscheduled service calls.
• Maintain detailed service records of work performed, parts used, and schedules.
• Adhere to safety standards and communicate findings with the maintenance supervisor.
