GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild, and maintain company trucks and heavy equipment. Join a team on the shop floor that values growth through cross-training and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma desired.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Must be computer literate and able to learn software systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated equipment.
• Complete reports, work orders, order parts, and perform administrative duties daily.
• Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner and procure parts for the plan.
• Assist in reviewing write-ups and coordinate repair schedules.
• Ensure safe working conditions in compliance with regulations.
• Use power and hand tools and maintain necessary equipment for maintenance.
• Possess and maintain tools needed for tasks.
