Job summary

GFL Environmental Services is seeking a skilled heavy-duty truck mechanic to safely operate, inspect, repair, and maintain our fleet of trucks and equipment, including oilfield, tractor trailer, tanker and vac units. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and complete reports to keep vehicles at peak performance.

Requirements include a minimum of three years of experience, own tools, and experience with diagnostic software.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of experience as a heavy-duty truck mechanic.
• Must have own tools.
• Experience using diagnostic software.
• Computer literate and capable of learning software systems.
• Able to meet safety sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas and electrically operated equipment and vehicles.
• Complete reports and work orders; procure parts as needed.
• Plan and schedule repairs and coordinate parts for the plan.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
