U.S. Xpress in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Technician, I Fleet to perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers. The role requires reading/writing, a valid driver's license, and owning the necessary tools.

Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with an on-site work environment. The company offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development within a leading asset-based carrier.

Competenze

HS diploma or equivalent required.
Technical Diesel Technology Diploma preferred.
1 year of mechanical experience preferred.
Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
Computer experience preferred.

Mansioni

Perform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers.
Perform basic and routine preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers as outlined in USX PM guidelines.
Perform basic or minor repairs and inspections on brakes, tires, wiring etc.
Check vehicle fluids (transmission, oil, windshield wiper, antifreeze, etc.).
Change vehicle tires.
Grease mechanical parts.
Maintain a high productivity level and complete most jobs within or close to SRT times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
