Job Title: Diesel Tractor Technician / Mechanic at Dayton Freight Lines, Inc.

Overview

Current Shift Available: 3rd Shift 23:00 - 07:30

Salary: $32.10 - $37.10/hour

Technicians perform maintenance services ensuring work volume and quality meet Dayton Freight Lines standards.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose diesel engine systems using ECM diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
• Repair and replace external engine components.
• Test and repair electrical systems in truck chassis.
• Develop skills in repairing power and drive train components.
• Perform PM inspections and services efficiently and per policy.
• Repair, adjust, and align suspension and brake systems.
• Maintain tire program as per policy.
• Conduct service calls following guidelines.
• Wash and fuel equipment as needed.
• Perform road tests to ensure quality repairs, if qualified.
• Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
• Maintain a positive attitude and interact professionally.
• Contribute to shop, grounds, and equipment upkeep.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment complying with OSHA standards.
• Record all work and labor in the EMS system.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to maintain inventory levels.
• Follow all parts procedures and rules.
• Continuously seek process improvements.
