Job summary

Leppo Rents is seeking an experienced diesel technician to service and repair skid steers, mini excavators, and telehandlers, both in the shop and in the field. The role emphasizes diagnosing complex issues, maintaining fleet readiness, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced rental environment.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with compact construction equipment, strong diagnostic skills, and a collaborative mindset to support Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental

Qualifications

• Experience repairing and servicing compact construction equipment (skid steers, mini excavators, telehandlers, and more).
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and get machines back to work quickly.
• Customer-first attitude - our technicians are the face of our service.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on compact construction equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems).
• Handle routine maintenance to keep the rental fleet in ready-to-work condition.
• Use computer-based diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
• Keep detailed repair and maintenance records and manage work orders.
• Mentor and collaborate with teammates across Parts, Service, Sales, and Rental.
