Job summary

Housby Mack Inc. in Carroll, IA is seeking a dynamic Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles per OEM guidelines with moderate supervision. The role requires communicating needed repairs to management and maintaining accurate repair documentation.

The position offers full-time hours, an opportunity to obtain a CDL within the first year, and a comprehensive benefits package. 3–5 years of diesel engine experience is preferred, with emphasis on safe, efficient shop practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of diesel engine experience and/or medium duty gas engines.
• CDL class A or B preferred but not required; company will assist to comply.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• General computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment by performing inspections to identify work and/or damaged parts.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles according to OEM guidelines.
• Make recommendations of repairs needed to management to provide estimate for customers.
• Properly document time and steps taken for correction of customer complaint.
• Willing to obtain a CDL within the first year of employment.
